For the 10th consecutive time, Wheaton wins the Febrafarma Quality Award

At the last 2008 FCE Pharma fair, Wheaton won yet another Febrafarma Quality Award. For the 10th consecutive time, Wheaton has been recognized as the best glass packaging supplier for the pharmaceutical industry.

The objective of the Febrafarma-Quality award is to select, among the suppliers for the Pharmaceutical Industry, those who have excelled in meeting the specifications of their products and services, as well as implementing and adapting their Quality Security System to the standards demanded by the sector. Such standards are recommended by the Febrafarma technical manuals and established by sanitary regulations.

The main goal of the evaluation of the Quality Security System by members of the pharmaceutical industry is to improve the qualification of suppliers within the sector, ensuring the adoption of measures that satisfy the pre-requisites that refer to quality, contributing to the effectiveness and security of the medicines.

The purpose of the award is to recognize the efforts accomplished by the pharmaceutical industries and their suppliers, aiming to reach the standards of quality required by the sector, as well as insuring that the necessary measures be taken so that the products and services fulfill their functions, guaranteeing that the medicines comply with the sanitary recommendations.

The award ceremony was held at HSBC Brasil Music Hall on May 27th.
