For the second time, Wheaton Brasil was certified by ÁPICE (Supplier Qualification Program for Sustainability), developed by ABIHPEC (Associação Brasileira da Indústria de Higiene Pessoal, Perfumaria e Cosméticos) [Brazilian Association of the Personal Hygiene, Perfume and Cosmetics Industry]. ÁPICE certification lasts one year when the company will be avaliated again. Wheaton Brasil have already received this certificate in last july, being the first company to get this award.
The purpose of the ABIHPEC Supplier Qualification Program is for an independent entity to create an assessment and qualification tool that may be useful as an alternative to the supplier assessment programs established by the organizations associated to ABIHPEC and in further developing the sector, by assisting in the public demonstration of commitment to and fulfillment of national legal requirements, international trends relative to socio-environmental management and those specific to each sector.

The Program’s objective is to promote a continuous improvement in the environmental management, occupational health and safety, and social responsibility systems in the personal hygiene, perfume and cosmetics market.
SGS do Brasil is the organ responsible for assessing and supervising suppliers.
